Anti-D immunoglobulins.

Generic Name :

Human anti-D immunoglobulin

Drug description :

Powder in vials plus solvent.

Presentation :

Powder for injection, human anti- D immunoglobulin 600i.u., 1500i.u.

Indications :

Rh (D) incompatibility.

Adult Dosage :

0 Antenatal prophylaxis, 1500i.u. at week 28 by slow intramuscular or intravenous injection. Parturition, 1500i.u. by slow intramuscular injection or 600i.u. by intravenous injection within 72 hours after delivery. Sensitising events in first 12 weeks of pregnancy, 600i.u. by slow intramuscular injection within 72 hours of event. Sensitising events after 12 weeks of pregnancy, 1500i.u. by slow intramuscular injection within 72 hours of event. Transusion, 600i.u. by slow intramuscular injection per 10mL of Rh (D) incompatible transfused blood. 0

Child Dosage :

Not applicable.

Contra Indications :

Thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders preventing intramuscular injection.

Special Precautions :

Patients with IgA antibodies or a history of atypical reactions to blood or blood products.

Interactions :
