AEROCROM SYNCRONER
Drug Class Description :

Anti-inflammatories, non-steroid / b2 -agonists (beta-agonists, beta-adrenoceptor stimulants).

Generic Name :

Sodium cromoglicate [cromoglycate], salbutamol

Drug description :

Aerocrom Inhaler: metered dose aerosol. Aerocrom Syncroner: metered dose aerosol with integral spacer device.

Presentation :

Aerocrom Inhaler: Sodium cromoglicate 1mg, salbutamol 100 microgram per dose. Aerocrom Syncroner: Sodium cromoglicate 1mg, salbutamol 100 microgram per dose.

Indications :

Maintenance treatment of asthma in patients who require regular doses of both drugs.

Adult Dosage :

2 puffs four times daily. Therapy must be continuous. Breakthrough wheezing, additional 2 puffs.

Child Dosage :

Not recommended.

Special Precautions :

Hyperthyroidism, myocardial Hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency, angina, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, pregnancy, lactation. Not for acute asthma.

Interactions :

Sympathomimetics, b-blockers, xanthines, steroids, diuretics.

Adverse Reactions :

Hypokalaemia, fine tremor, headache, peripheral vasodilatation. Coughing, throat irritation, rarely paradoxical bronchospasm.
