Drug Class Description :

Traditional mixed constituents, syrup based remedy providing symptomatic relief by virtue of demulcent properties, a mild expectorant action and an aromatic “warming” flavour.

Generic Name :

squill liquid extract, capsicum tincture

Drug description :

Squill Liquid Extract 0.062% v/v Capsicum Tincture 0.05% v/v

Presentation :

Oral Liquid

Indications :

For coughs, colds, sore throats, hoarseness

Adult Dosage :

Two 5 ml spoonfuls three times a day and on retiring, when the cough is troublesome.

Child Dosage :

Children (over 2 years of age): One 5 ml spoonful three times a day and on retiring, when the cough is troublesome.

Children (under 2 years of age): Not recommended.

Contra Indications :

None known.

Special Precautions :

If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children.

Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.
