Diagnosis and Treatment Algorithm

A standardized algorithm for the diagnosis and treatment of male hypogonadism is summarized in Figure 5.

Figure 5. Diagnosis and Treatment of Male Hypogonadism Algorithm
Diagnosis and Treatment of Male Hypogonadism Algorithm

(NOTE: This figure is modified from page Figure 1, page 110 of Zitzmann M, Nieschlag E. Testosterone substitution: current modalities and perspectives. J Reproduktionsmed Endokrinol 2006; 3(2): 109-116, and could require permission to reproduce)

In Addition, the Figure refers to supporting data presented in a number of Tables in the Zitzmann article. These directions would need to be edited to conform with the website manuscript when the Figure is redrawn after the review process and other modifications (if any) made before finalization of the website, e.g. linking to the currently available treatments table; linking to the symptoms table.
